◆原理
細胞死亡后會釋放一類特殊的蛋白質 Alarmin（暫譯為警報素），通過檢測 Alarmin 可識別組織創傷。然而在抗病毒免疫系統中，Alarmin 所起的作用不是很明確。最近瑞士日內瓦大學和德國柏林夏里特醫科大學研究人員發現在脾臟和淋巴結中病毒的復制可導致受感染的細胞死亡。這些壞死的細胞可釋放出 Alarmin，其中主要的是白介素-33（IL-33），它可通過 ST2 受體激活 CD8+ T（CTLs）細胞，對病毒感染作出反應。研究發現缺乏 IL-33 的小鼠，CTL 對病毒感染的免疫反應也較低。此項研究具有里程碑意義，因為提出了一個新的免疫機制：壞死細胞會釋放出 Alarmin 動員殺傷性Ｔ細胞應對感染，在未來對抗艾滋、丙型肝炎而開發新的疫苗，對于癌癥治療有重要作用。
